Some of us are looking forward to the upcoming holidays. Besides friends and family, I look forward to holiday TV and movies. Movies that are a must-see for me are:
Polar Express (2004) – Do you hear the bell?
Scrooge (1951) – with Alastair Sim
Rare Exports (2010) – a dark Santa movie from Finland (subtitled)
I watched White Christmas for the first time (Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye). Fun. My very favorite is an ice skating story choreographed by Toller Cranston: The True Gift Of Christmas (folklore) 1985. It doesn’t come in DVD, so I’m pretty sad since I no longer have a VHS player. It’s not on YouTube. Time marches on but VHS tapes & players don’t.
I have listed some of the celebrations of December 2018 with dates and websites you can visit to learn more about religions and celebrations.
Chanukah (dates vary annually)
Dec. 2 – December 10, 2018
Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe
Kwanzaa (date varies annually)
December 26, 2018 -January 1, 2019
Whether you celebrate or not, have a SAFE DECEMBER!
Remember that love, humor, sharing, and being fearless rule here.
